The children and I were at a Harvest Party on Monday and one of the leaders lead the children in this wonderful pumpkin activity.  As you carve your pumpkin you instruct your child’s heart in the wisdom of God through prayer.  She had pre-carved her pumpkin but hadn’t “punched out” the eyes, nose, mouth, etc.  She gave turns in allowing the children to push out the face, scoop out the gunk, and insert the candle.

I’m going to do this with my Faith Formation class today!  Fun!
